The tripp of a life time...(Part - 1)
I went on a school trip to NALS (National Adventure and Leadership School) on 2nd March. The bus left the school at 11:00 pm and we reached the camp by 9:00 am on 3rd March. Since the girls' bus was full, Rithika and I volunteered to go on the boy's bus, it was a wonderful journey, the mountains, the all-night talks with my friend and peaceful travel time.
One of the intriguing sights was at 12:30am when we stopped by a petrol bunk and I got the chance to gaze at the sky, I saw the most number of stars I have ever seen in my life, away from all the light pollution the stars filled the sky like an ocean of glitter. I even sighted the scorpion constellation for the first time. Being an astronomy person this was a too-good-to-be-true moment for me. I did not sleep for the entire night much to my teacher's dismay. The guys' music tastes were way better than we expected and I enjoyed much of their song selections.
Our bus, unfortunately, broke down right after crossing the entrance to the mountain, which stood in front of us like a sleeping giant. The lights on top of the mountains were confused with a line of stars. Once we started climbing the mountain, around 7:00 am the sun started showing up from the dark blue clouds below. But to my dismay, I started dozing halfway through.

The camp was surrounded by mountains and tea plantations on all four sides, it felt so good to be away from the bustling city life. Phones, snacks and contact with family were prohibited at the camp, so for the first time in my life I did not speak to my mom for two days. She was not that worried as the teachers kept on updating the parents by sending photos. As soon as we reached camp, we were given our rooms. 7 girls shared a room with bunk beds. The rest is on the next part...
